## Job Description The purpose of this position is to provide service to customers by monitoring alarm systems and notifyimg proper authorities, customers, and/or their designees upon receiving an alarm signal indicating a possible fire, burglary, hold-up, or any other abnormal condition at the customer's location. * **Principal Accountabilities ** 1. Responds promptly and appropriately to alarm conditions at customer location: Notifies authorities appropriate to the alarm situation (ie, fire, intrusion, etc.) Provides all information essential for emergency response. Notifies the customer (and designated call list) of the alarm when it is appropriate to do so. Follows up with authorities to ensure alarm situation has returned to normal. Takes appropriate action on trouble signals. 2. Ensures effective monitoring of customer opening and closing status; coordinates corrective action when required. 3. Documents all alarms and malfunctions, making sure to include the cause of each. Forwards information to appropriate personnel for action and resolution. **Education & Experience** * High school diploma, GED or equivalent. * Three to five years in a customer service discipline, and/or Emergency Medical Service/911 Operator. Skills & Competencies * Display effective interpersonal communication. * Ability to exercise sound judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential information and matters.
