Micron Technologys Minneapolis, Minnesotaofficeis seeking a firmware engineer with a strong background in C/C++ language programming to develop controller firmware
for non:volatile storage devices. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of technical skills in addition to being organized, process oriented, and self:motivated.
Participate as a team member and work effectively inside and outside of the team. Demonstrate proficiency in coding skills, verification/validation, simulation, failure analysis, ASIC/FPGA/System bring:up, and the use of tools that support these activities. Validate customer requirements and perform failure analysis on FW related issues. Develop structured source code targeting the embedded environment associated with state of the art memory. Perform design verification using a variety of verification methods, including simulation and product testing.
:Required Education and Experience:
:Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
:3:5 years of product development experience
:Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
:Experience with assembly level and C language development including the tools used to edit, compile/assemble and debug code in an embedded environment
:Strong documentation skills.
:Experience working with real:time operating systems
:Strong communication skills
:Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
:Excellent time management skills
:Prior design engineering experience
:Understand hardware at the component level.
:Experience working with I2C and SPI protocols
:Experience with memory interfaces.
:Xilinx/Altera FPGA development environment.
