Description Summary 13;
This position is responsible to perform complex technical and analytical work. Ensuring healthcare coding and reimbursement policies are implemented and integrated in all systems for accurate claims adjudication. The focus is on end:to:end business process improvements that drive the operation of the business to ensure services and transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
:Participates in process change and redesign to implement improvements (including business requirements and acceptance testing) to support the business units.
:Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions that increases automation and resolves system deficiencies.
:Researches and resolves system issues in a timely and accurate manner.
:Maintains awareness of systems, products and expertise to support business units.
:Participates in assigned workgroups, committees, and project implementations
:Collaborates with business and technical units
:Serve as a knowledge expert related to medical coding.
:Serve as a liaison to other divisions/departments for coding policy and coding/payment issues.
:Bachelors degree and 4 years of business experience or 8 years of business experience in lieu of a degree 3 years analytical experience or equivalent military experience.
:Excellent collaborative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
:Intermediate technical skills (Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, Access).
:Desire to excel and ability to work in a high paced environment, handling multiple responsibilities and projects.
:Strong work ethic, flexible.
:Relevant health plan or provider office medical coding/claims experience
:Ability critical thinking skills to coding policy interpretation and implementation.
