"Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners…" President John F. Kennedy

The Canada-U.S. relationship is multifaceted and strong. It is the largest trading relationship between any two countries in the world, worth $2 billion a day. Canada is the largest export market for Minnesota and all the states of the Upper Midwest. On the environmental front, the U.S. and Canada also share stewardship of 20 percent of the world's fresh water supply from the Great Lakes. As part of our "Celebration of Canada", join MIC on Friday, April 19 for a luncheon forum with Canadian Ambassador to the U.S., Gary Doer, to hear about our important relationship with our neighbors to the North.
