The Minnesota International Center, in collaboration with the World Affairs Councils of America and Carlson & the Carlson Family Foundation, invite you to an evening program on human trafficking.

The program will begin with Not My Life, a documentary film directed by Oscar nominee Robert Bilheimerto which depicts the dangerous practices of human trafficking and modern slavery on a global scale.

Following the film will be a panel discussion between experts and survivors combating human trafficking in Minnesota. Featured panelists include: Jeff Bauer, director of public policy and civic engagement with The Family Partnership; Vednita Carter, executive director of Breaking Free; John Choi, Ramsey County attorney; and Bukola Oriola, author and host of Imprisoned Show.

The film, Not My Life, features dignified and inspiring testimony from survivors; depictions of trafficking, exploitation, and slavery in all parts of the world including forced labor in Africa; street begging and garbage picking in India; sexual trafficking in the United States and Southeast Asia; and various forms of child enslavement and abuse in both North and South America.
